The Tiffen 4 x 4" Soft Edge Graduated 0.9 ND Filter is a graduated neutral density filter that effectively darkens skies and other bright portions of an image. The filter is densest at the edge and becomes clearer in the middle, with a soft-edged line separating the density and clear portions. Neutral density filters do not impact image colors, and the 0.9 density reduces light entering the lens by three stops.

This filter is created with ColorCore technology, which entails laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 4 x 4" (101.6 x 101.6mm).
