General Terms and Conditions

  1. This registration page is intended for newly-purchased products or products that are still under warranty.
  2. Warranty registration is voluntary and failure to register will not affect your limited warranty rights; registering your product(s) with us will:
    1. Help us to serve you better during the lifetime of your product;
    2. Provide us with a record of your ownership in case of product loss or theft; and
    3. Allow us to keep you updated on related product news and offers.
  3. Warranty registration is currently only applicable for selected brands and products that are distributed by Cathay Photo, sold in Singapore by an Authorized Dealer and for warranty services in Singapore only.
  4. The limited warranty covers that the product is free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal and proper usage of the product for a stated period from the date of original purchase. The stated period for each brand and product can be found below.
  5. The limited warranty is only valid if the product is still owned and presented by the original owner, together with the original Purchase Receipt as proof of purchase. Online warranty registration is not proof of purchase.
  6. Cathay Photo's obligation under this warranty is limited to replacing or repairing, at our sole discretion, products or parts determined by us to be defective in materials or workmanship.
  7. For warranty services, please deliver your product to: Cathay Photo Store (Pte) Ltd, 111 North Bridge Road, #01-04 / #01-05 / #01-07 t0 08 / #01-11 to 14 Peninsula Plaza, Singapore 179098.
  8. All shipping expenses are to be borne by the sender.
  9. If you are mailing your product to us for warranty service, please ensure that the product is carefully packaged. Cathay Photo will not be responsible for any damage or loss whatsoever caused during shipping or delivery to us.
  10. If repair or replacement due to discontinued items or parts is not possible, Cathay Photo reserves the right to replace the product with a current model of the same quality and equivalent function.
  11. Warranty of replacement parts is limited to whichever is a longer period of time - 90 days from the repair or purchase of the repair parts, or the unexpired portion of the warranty period of the product on which the parts are being used.
  12. The limited warranty does not cover any defect or damage caused by and/or cost incurred by: 1) modification, alteration, repair or service of the product by anyone other than Cathay Photo; 2) physical abuse to the product, overload or misuse of the product, or operation thereof in a manner contrary to the accompanying instructions; 3) any use of the product other than that for which it was intended; 4) accidents, improper care and/or maintenance; 5) labor, shipping and replacement parts not authorized by Cathay Photo; 6) replacement of parts that would wear out from normal usage.
  13. Under no circumstances shall Cathay Photo be liable for any special incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to, personal injury, property damage, damage to or loss of equipment, lost profits or revenue, costs of renting replacements and/or other additional expenses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

  15. This set of Terms and Conditions does not override nor replace the Terms and Conditions of your product’s Limited Warranty as set out by the product manufacturer. In the event of any inconsistency, the Limited Warranty Terms and Conditions set out by the product manufacturer shall prevail.
