Posted on Oct 08, 2010 in Announcements, News: Camera Accessories, Lensbaby

Hello Everyone!

How have you all been doing? It’s amazing how time flies... it’s almost the end of the year! Been busy planning for the holidays, haven’t you? If you’re planning to bring along your newest Micro Four Third or Sony α NEX camera along on your trip, we have good news. These products This product that we’re going to show might just be the perfect holiday companions!

At the end of November, we will be welcoming these products with open arms to our stores! We think you should say hello to them too:

COMPOSER & TILT TRANSFORMER

The Composer with Tilt Transformer offers you the same limitless creativity that you get with the Lensbaby Optic Swap System, but on the Micro Four Thirds or Sony α NEX camera!

What’s amazing about The Tilt Transformer is that it allows photographers to mount any Nikon mount lens onto their Micro Four Thirds or Sony α NEX camera and able to fluidly tilt their Nikon mount lens up to 12.9 degrees, which is up to twice the tilt range of traditional tilt-shift lenses! The outcome? Photos that have a slice of focus through the image, bordered by a soft blur.

You can adjust the width of focus slice since it depends on aperture- f/1.4 will produce a very thin slice of focus with abundant blur, while f/22 will produce a very wide slice of focus with just a tiny bit of blur. Extreme tilt at a very bright aperture will make that slice appear even thinner.

If you prefer to use your Nikon lenses for tilt photography, the Tilt Transformer will do the trick! Simply attach your Nikon lens to the Tilt Transformer swivel the lens for unprecedented focus control.

But of course if you purchase Composer & Tilt Transformer together, you could have much more fun since it ships with the Double Glass Optic and optical adapter installed. Not only that, it supports the Lensbaby Optic Swap System, allowing photographers like yourself to swap out the Double Glass Optic and swap in Single Glass, Plastic, or Pinhole/Zone Plate!
